Coat Project

One of the greatest needs in our community is to provide for basic needs. In order to meet needs, and also to follow the pattern of Elijah, whose miracle provided oil for the recipient to sell, we have started a coat project.

Coats are a great product as they are in demand for many of the months of the year, they also fit into the right cost/sale bracket and dont perish with time

The coats are second hand and are brought in a bale, from a London Importer. Individuals who join this project, are given four coats to sell and their sales are monitored. Once a coat is sold, they need to replace it immediately with one from the store which they buy at cost price. In this way by providing an asset, we are training individuals to learn to sell, and to develop forward their business

Asset Maintaining

So much provision is able to be attained to by just maintaining ones asset, and looking after ones product. As long as sales means immediately replacing the coat with a new one, the principles of business are maintained

Of course in real life, many mistakes are made and as a ministry a lot of grace is needed. When a mistake is made, the seller needs to be able to recover, and learn at the same time. They also must not be offended which can affect their spiritual life. So if the sellers, do not replace their asset on sale, and spend the money, they need to be removed from the program and can then restart at a later date.

The aim is to build lives in knowledge. Sometimes we only learn by mistakes and space is needed for people to make mistakes and build forward from there.
